What you'll be doing
- Serve as the primary legal advisor for our global HR business partners, focusing on the APAC region.
- Provide practical, sound advice on a broad range of employment topics, including flexible work arrangements, dispute resolution, and compensation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop global employment-related policies, guidelines, and processes.
- Draft, review, and update employment-related agreements and documentation.
- Stay updated on changes to employment laws and advise the company accordingly.
- Work cross-functionally with teams across legal and business, providing practical advice based on Zendesk’s business goals.
What You Bring To The Role
- At least 4 years of relevant experience as a qualified lawyer, with a mix of in-house and law firm experience.
- Experience in employment law counseling involving APAC jurisdictions particularly with any of these locations Australia, India, Japan, Korea and Philippines is required for this role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in advising on complex employment topics involving APAC employment and labor laws.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Fluency in other languages is highly valued.
- Experience with a global tech company is preferred.
