Job Description


Daily responsibilities:


  • Providing day to day support to the oil, products, carbon and power trading desks (in particular, the LNG desk), including drafting, reviewing and negotiating MSPAs, spot and term sale and purchase contracts, tenders and storage agreements, and dealing with “live” issues relating to potential and actual non-performance, force majeure events, and quantity and quality issues;
  • Providing day to day support in relation to shipping matters;
  • Working with and managing external counsel in connection with contentious and non-contentious matters; and
  • Working closely with the Credit team in connection with payment and security matters, counterparty default, credit and cargo insurance, and the Compliance team in connection with the drafting and negotiation of sanctions and anti-corruption provisions.


Qualifications


Experience and Characteristics:


  • Minimum 3 years PQE;
  • Highly responsive;
  • Capable of managing a large workload independently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines;
  • Team player with an open, non-political style;
  • Flexible and available to pick up urgent matters which arise out of business hours; and
  • Strong drafting and communication skills.
