The vital role of proteins in understanding human biology has been recognized for many decades, but technological limitations severely restricted the comprehensive investigation of the huge number of proteins that could be important in different biological processes and diseases. With Olink, scientists can now simultaneously measure thousands of human proteins using just a few µL of blood sample, with highly specific, thoroughly validated assays that cover a very wide dynamic range (fg/mL to µg/mL).

In a few years, Olink has grown rapidly from a small, Sweden-based company offering assays for a few hundred proteins, to a NASDAQ-listed organization with a strong global presence, a broad portfolio of flexible protein biomarker solutions and library of high quality, thoroughly validated assays that covers ~5000 proteins.

Position Description

The Legal Team at Olink is looking for a Commercial Counsel focusing on APAC, reporting to the General Counsel. You will enjoy a broad role in a rapidly expanding, high-achieving, dynamic company, working alongside seasoned legal professional teammates. Being a true partner, you will be hands-on and commercially minded, with a professional ethic and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of our global legal team, collaborating with colleagues in the EMEA as well as NAMER regions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Olink commercial and procurement teams in the APAC region, on commercial matters, including review and negotiation of all types of commercial contracts.
• Provide clear, pragmatic and business-oriented counsel to internal stakeholders on commercial matters.
• Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders across client teams.
• Strive for continuous improvement of Olink legal processes, templates, and training.
• Develop and deliver legal training for onboarding of new internal stakeholders.

Qualifications/Skills

• 3+ years of significant transactional experience working on a wide variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to SOWs, NDAs, and MSAs, vendor, procurement, supply chain, service, and customer/sales agreements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in an in-house or law firm setting.
• Experience creating contract templates.
• Experience working with CONGA is a plus.
• Responsiveness and ability to triage legal requests as required.
• Experience with a life sciences company is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin with Japanese and/or Korean being merited.

For this particular role you should already be located in Singapore and have a Singaporean citizenship or at least be a blue card holder. We are unable to assist with visa processes or relocation in this region at this point in time.
