Job Description
You will be part of the legal team providing legal support for the global banking sector of the Bank which includes corporate banking, transaction banking and trade finance. You must have banking, finance or corporate experience and must have experience in transactional work including experience in lending transactions, secured loans and other banking matters.
You will be expected to coordinate and liaise directly with external counsel on lending transactions which will include reviewing, drafting and amending loan and financing documentation and advise business stakeholders on possible legal risks arising from the lending transactions.
You will be working with product specialists in product development, providing general legal advice and managing all legal risk for the business.
Requirements:
- LLB (Honours) degree with 5 to 7 years’ experience in corporate law or as an in-house counsel in a financial institution.
- Must have experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts.
- Meticulous and able to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical, responsible and pro-active team player.
- Positive work attitude.
