Your Mission

This position is responsible for providing legal advisory to the business. He/She will safeguard our organization by ensuring that the company strictly follows legal guidelines and provide advice to management about all relevant issues.

What To Expect
  • Work with various business functions to provide legal and risk management support on day-to-day business activities.
  • Draft, review, advise and negotiate various commercial contracts, terms and conditions, letters, NDA, MOU, forms and any other documents required by the business.
  • Manage internal disputes and claims by working with the sales and marketing team, mitigate disputes and prevent law suits by providing practical solutions to the after-sales team.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain contract templates, forms, letter for different functions within the company and when necessary in response to the regulatory updates.
  • Develop the contract management workflow and processes to ensure approvals are obtained and documents are signed properly.
  • Monitor on-going laws and regulations relevant to the company, provide updates on new developments in laws and regulations and its impact to the company’s operations.
  • Oversee licensing and monitor regulatory compliance in various business functions, provide compliance training from time to time to all relevant business functions.
  • Draft and prepare policies and develop compliance program by localising the compliance policies from headquarters and draft any other policies required in Singapore.
  • Develop and implement good compliance practices with checklist and procedures, relating to AML, quality, safety, PDPA, IT, import and export controls, production and manufacturing activities.
  • Attend to audit requests and any other ad hoc requests.
What You'll Bring
  • At least 5 years PQE, commonwealth law with background in dispute resolution or in-house commercial experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing and automotive or EV charging industry, not a must but will be a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management, with ability to communicate with non-native English speaking stakeholders in business language.
  • Willingness to learn new regulations, flexible and confident with unknown and constant changes in the new industry.
  • Practical and solutions-oriented to solve legal challenges in the new industry.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with various business functions in a start-up culture.
