Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice, updates and training to internal stakeholders and relevant regional business units.
• Review and draft legal documents related to the business operation of the Company.
• Liaise with internal clients to provide support to the Company’s business, including the formulation and implementation of local legal polices, templates, etc.
• Handle ad hoc assignments related to legal and compliance issues, including corporate secretarial matters.
• Dispute and litigation management.
• Management of external counsels and related expenses.
• Assist in implementation of compliance programs to ensure the Company operates within statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with regulators and business units on regulatory matters in Singapore and relevant countries where the business operates.
Requirements:
• Relevant Degree at least 3 years of post-qualification experience as legal and compliance counsel (preferably in ICT Industry).
• Qualified to practice law in Singapore.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage major projects to successful completion.
• Is a self-starter; possess confidence and excellent communication skills in order to interact with people of all levels across different markets within the region.
• Resourceful, independent, self-motivated and highly hands-on individual.
• Strong drive and commitment to deliver results.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Strong communication, analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong legal drafting skills in English.
• Chinese language proficiency is essential; candidate with the ability to review and/or draft document in Chinese and hold business discussions in Mandarin preferred.
