Doctor Anywhere's Legal team is an integral part of the company - advising our executives on the risks and legal concerns involved in any business and management decisions, as well as ensuring compliance with law and regulations. The team protects the company while helping the company grow!
About The Role
The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and adaptability and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity especially in a start-up environment. You should be passionate about technology and helping to grow the legal function in the region. You should also be very practical and have a commercial mindset. You should have a strong background in corporate law and have experience in handling a wide variety of general commercial matters. Experience in M&A work is necessary.
This role reports directly to Director, Legal of Doctor Anywhere Group.

Doctor Anywhere (DA) is a regional tech-enabled, omnichannel healthcare provider delivering care to 2.5 million users across 6 countries in Southeast Asia. This role reports directly to Director, Legal of Doctor Anywhere Group.
A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Assist the Director, Legal in advising our local and regional stakeholders on a broad range of operational and commercial matters;
- Advise on regulatory matters including employment laws, personal data protection laws, payment services, medical/health laws and regulations;
- Advise, draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts (including service agreements, vendor agreements, marketing agreements, software licensing agreements, joint venture agreements and NDAs);
- Handle M&A transactions (including carrying out due diligence, and advising on and drafting M&A documentation such as sale and purchase agreements, investment agreements and shareholders’ agreements);
- Conduct research on various legal and regulatory issues;
- Manage contractual documentation;
- Manage external counsel in Singapore and the region;
- Liaise with the corporate secretary.
- At least 5 years’ PQE and called to the Singapore bar;
- Experience in corporate law and M&A transactions is mandatory;
- Experience in capital markets work or intellectual property law is a bonus;
- Strong drafting skills;
- Excellent command of the English language;
- You should be extremely meticulous and organised;
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges;
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
