Legal Counsel for Citi Global Wealth Asia Pacific (Investments)

As part of the Asia Pacific Legal team, you will provide regional legal support to the Global Wealth Investments businesses of a global bank.
Job Scope:
Advising on structuring, legal issues and documentation in relation to a wide range of Capital Markets products (Structured Notes, Bonds, Equities, Commodities, FX, Fixed Income and ISDA Master/Collateral Agreements) in the Asia Pacific region.
Extensive interface with the Global Wealth Business, Credit, Risk, Compliance and other functional partners on both a cross-region and cross-function basis.
Working with internal and external legal advisors across the Asia Pacific region and globally on offering Global Wealth product and service suite, and handling related transactions and implementation of global projects.
Assisting the Citi Global Wealth businesses (Consumer & Private Bank) & related functions (Risk, etc) to structure transactional/client solutions.
Advise the Citi Global Wealth businesses on the implementation of global and local regulations affecting investment products (excluding funds), such as: Dodd Frank, Libor/Ibor transition, and sales practice regulations (best execution, suitability, offshore conduct rules).
Legal review of product programs relating to derivative & capital market products.
Negotiating ISDA Master Agreements & CSA/CSD.
Reviews relating to netting/collateral enforceability of ISDA-documented derivatives transactions
Pre-Requisites:
4-7 years of legal work experience with a major law firm or financial institution
Law degree and admission to the Bar (US, UK, Australia, Hong Kong or Singapore)
Practical and solution-oriented
Experience in handling transactions independently
Strong legal analytical skills and judgment
Willingness to learn
Strong relationship building skills
Team player
Strong written and spoken English.
Familiarity with legal and regulatory framework in the Asia Pacific region
Familiarity with US and regional bank regulatory and securities law matters
Preferred, In-house experience supporting a derivatives trading floor
