An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong Transactional Lawyer to join the APAC team of CBRE Investment Management, one of the world's leading real assets investment management firms with US$147.6 billion of assets under management (as at 30 June 2023). The position is based in Singapore and will support the firm's APAC business, which includes the major markets of Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Korea and Singapore.

Reporting to the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of APAC, this lawyer will be integrally involved in all aspects of the private fund lifecycle (including investments and fund formations) as well as other legal affairs of the firm's APAC business.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with investment related activities such as acquisitions, joint ventures, acquisition financing, portfolio management and divestments;
  • Assisting with fund related matters such as fund formations, fund operations and offering materials;
  • Supervising and coordinating external counsel;
  • Developing and implementing best practices and process improvements;
  • Liaising with stakeholders across APAC and Global business units such as the investments, portfolio management, client solutions, finance and operations teams; and
  • Assisting with other legal matters such as litigation, regulatory affairs and employment.
Candidate Profile:
  • Around 5-7 years of transactional experience, preferably in the areas of private equity, M&A and/or real estate.
  • Experience acquired from top-tier law firms and/or investment firms.
  • Technically strong and commercially pragmatic.
  • Ability to form productive working relationships across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
