Job Description
As Legal Counsel at our rapidly growing social app company, you will partner with internal teams to provide legal advice and risk management. You will identify and mitigate legal risks, guide contractual processes, and ensure compliance.
Experience :
Advise product, engineering, and business teams on potential legal risks related to intellectual property, licensing terms, privacy policies, and regulatory issues.
Review partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and other commercial deals to maximize legal rights and minimize liability- Negotiate favorable licensing, sponsorship, and intellectual property agreements.
Develop and implement policies and processes to properly protect company IP assets- Support HR initiatives related to employee contracts, equity programs, and compliance
Monitor changes in legislation and case law relevant to the company, and recommend changes to internal practices as needed.
Collaborate with HR on employment law matters including onboarding, terminations, and employee issues.
Manage corporate governance, compliance, and litigation processes.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of in-house legal experience, with expertise in IP, licensing, privacy, and commercial law. You have outstanding analytical abilities, communication skills, and business judgment. An entrepreneurial mindset is crucial.
