Overview

A Snapshot of Your Day

Advise senior management on strategic priorities, draft and negotiate sales contracts and non-disclosure agreements, meet with Channel Partner team to review approvals and draft LOAs, amendments, contracts to enable tender and sales business. Work with local marketing and RA teams to facilitate day-to-day activities of registering product, engaging KOIs, conducting market activities, complying with regulatory and import obligations.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Hands-on willingness to work with business clients in their current processes and identify areas for process efficiencies and reduction of legal risk
  • Manage local attorney in India and bring strong oversight to that and other high-corruption risk territories within APAC
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in responding to tenders and conducting commercial business in APAC
  • Effectively communicate to Hercules the business and commercial landscape and risks associated with the business in APAC
  • Pivot seamlessly between the legal contexts of diverse jurisdictions (i.e., understand legal environment in Australia as well as Thailand, Japan as well as Singapore, etc.).

What You Bring:

  • Education: Juris Doctor, LLB or equivalent law degree from a good law school in the United States, Great Britain, Australia or Singapore.
  • Work Experience: 10+ years of relevant legal experience since qualification – a mix of law firm and in-house life sciences or diagnostics industry preferred.
  • Multicultural awareness (including US business culture and diversity of APAC colleagues) and broad-based commercial and corporate experience.
  • Enthusiasm to learn the business and work with multiple levels of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Strong critical thinking skills
