The Opportunity:
We are looking for motivated and client focused Senior Associates with experience in Energy/Construction/Projects to join the Projects & Energy Transition team in Singapore.
Ashurst has a market leading infrastructure team. We are dedicated "infrastructure" lawyers that advise clients on the development, operation and divestment of all types of infrastructure asset. The team brings together a wide range of legal experts with extensive experience in infrastructure-related transactions.
Our team regularly advises the private sector on their most complex infrastructure transactions across multiple jurisdictions and sectors. Job Overview
The Projects & Energy Transition team is looking for a Senior Lawyer/ Senior Associate (5 - 7 PQE) with experience primarily in energy as well as infrastructure projects, especially in the context of project financings. Ashurst combines the benefits of a leading projects and energy practice with a supportive and collegiate environment.
You would be expected to assist in projects that have been assigned to you and liaise closely with colleagues, clients, counterparties and other advisers.

- Drafting of legal documents and agreements;
- Review of legal documents and agreements;
- Contributing to department know-how;
- Advising clients and preparing formal legal opinions;
- Matter completion and post-closing work;
- Assisting and developing trainees and/or paralegals in the team;
- Developing relationships with our clients is important at every level, and you would be encouraged to do so.
Essential Skills
Post qualification experience in general international energy matters of the types referred to above, with a reputable international law firm.
- Qualified in England & Wales, Singapore or any other common law jurisdictions;
- 5 to 7 years post qualification experience;
- Experience of advising on the legal implications of large energy/construction projects;
- Excellent academic track record; and
- Enthusiasm for intellectually stimulating cross-border work.
