About the Role:
To achieve our mission to enable remote employment globally, we need to build a world-class product experience backed by our core Payments platform that is seamless, convenient, and reliable for our customers. We face new and exciting challenges every day and need your help to solve them.
The Employment Counsel will lead the labour laws compliance charter for Skuad group entities across the globe (SEA/EMEA/LATAM) including advice on compliance matters as per extant local laws, statutory filings, procurement/renewal of licences, registrations with labour authorities, trainings on labour matters, administering and resolving labour issues, litigation management. The person will also work on establishing and maintaining organisation policy and practice on labour compliances..
What will you do?
● Drive legal and compliance strategy on labour aspects for the global entities and make judgement calls.
● Create labour laws compliance calendars/checklists and drive implementation.
● Strong expertise in legal drafting and research on laws.
● Evaluate risk regarding business decisions and operations; design and implement risk management plan.
● Handle regulatory queries, draft and compile responses.
● Procure and maintain licences and records.
● Liasion with external parties (consultants/regulators) to drive the charter.
● Interest in the startup ecosystem along with the curiosity to track and keep abreast of the global labour law compliance landscape.
