The Essence of this Role


We are on search of a Head of Legal to join our fast-growing tech company in Singapore . In this role, you’ll support Affinidi's business and operations.

Responsibilities:


  • Leading, managing, and growing the legal and privacy function for Affinidi Group.
  • Drafting and reviewing data protection policies, terms of use, data transfer agreements, service agreements, license agreements, API integration agreements, and other legal documentation required for tech services and products.
  • Drafting, updating, and implementing group wide legal and privacy processes.
  • Assisting with the investigation of data incidents, privacy matters, and other matters.
  • Advising on a variety of legal issues.
  • Legal strategy on new products and services.
  • Data Protection Officer for Affinidi.


Key Professional Requirements:


  • Minimum of LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a reputable university.
  • Called to the bar in Singapore. Experience in practicing Singapore law. 6-9 years' experience practicing law in a Singapore or international law firm, and in-house.
  • In-house experience in a tech company.
  • Background in TMT, corporate law, M&A, and privacy law (PDPA, GDPR).
  • Experience and high competency in working with cross-function teams (product, engineering, marketing, BD, HR, customer service, C-suite), leading negotiations, formulating company and group-wide processes, working with international partners, and conceptualising business and legal concerns in new areas of law and tech.

  • Are easy-going, open-minded, quick to pick up ideas and concepts.
  • Have good social skills, with a sense of humour.
