Legal Counsel (Central I In-house I Up to 7K)

Job Description
To provide timely and efficient legal advice, including contract drafting and negotiation, compliance guidance, and risk assessment across various functional areas. Ensuring effective corporate governance by accurately handling corporate filings, reporting activities, and overseeing legal matters. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing outside counsel expenditures and supporting cost-saving initiatives.


A multinational corporation known for its expertise in imaging and printing solutions. It is recognized globally for its innovative products catering to various industries and consumers. This company offers many high-quality devices, including printers, scanners, projectors, and other imaging-related equipment.


  • Provide comprehensive legal support by reviewing, negotiating, and managing various contracts, including distribution, resale, and vendor/supplier agreements.
  • Offer timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders across different departments, ensuring clear communication of legal concepts and compliance requirements.
  • Advise on a wide range of legal matters, such as compliance, data privacy, anti-bribery, intellectual property, labor-related issues, and business strategy, while mitigating risks and maximizing commercial opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and ownership by educating internal teams and external partners on the potential risks associated with the business, promoting understanding and proactive risk management.
  • Ensure effective corporate governance by adhering to legal and statutory requirements, accurately reporting company activities, overseeing corporate filings, and acting as a legal representative for relevant matters.
  • Manage outside counsel expenditures on a case-by-case basis, while supporting Epson's initiatives for cost savings in indirect spends, promoting efficient legal spend management


Experience Requirements


  • 1 to 5 years of PQE in a practice law firm are welcome.
  • In-house counsel experience is a plus.
  • A minimum bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) is required.
  • A team player with a good working attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in their role.
